The Love A Senior Company celebrates aging as our mission through the sharing of ideas, stories and resources for the greater learning on how to tackle the future instead of fearing it.
Let us shed some light on the positive in aging, so that we may grow older with purpose and flaunt our relevance.
President Jim Wiley from Pueblo, CO has worked with The Love A Senior Company since its inception. Since completing his MBA in 2017, Jim works to apply his education and experience through the none profit, finance, marketing, and political worlds. Jim has a long history of working with seniors. He is shown here with his grandmother.
Vice President Mike Stith from Edwardsville, IL joined the The Love A Senior Company Board of Directors in 2019 to offer his assistance and experience to adding to the mission to add meaning to senior lives everywhere. Lessons learned from caregiving for both his parents inspired his company One Legacy, which collects and shares real stories about personal history. We all have a legacy to share, and my passion is to help seniors share their stories with the world.
Piper Douglass from Nashville, TN serves as the second Board Member at Large. Before becoming a full time Mom to her 3 young children, she spent 5 years in working in a retirement home as a Life Enrichment Director. This enjoyable time, led her to us to be a contributing part of The Love A Senior Company’s current plans as well as those for the future.
Carol Chiarito our Founder and Executive Director, lives Pueblo, CO and currently runs the day-to-day activities of The Love A Senior Company and is the host of the company’s podcast series “Senior Moments”. Carol’s background in education, financial planning and elder care, brings an unstoppable passion to see people change the way they feel about aging.
Affton Schlochtermeier, Project Manager from Meade, Kansas. Affton is a graduate of Oklahoma Panhandle State University studying Ag Business and Marketing degree. She has been with The Love A Senior Company since 2019 keeping everyone and everything organized, specializing in the successful execution of our signature event; the Love A Senior Day.
Vincah is a design firm that has been working with The Love A Senior organization. They keep the website up to date, running smoothly and their staffs are always available to answer any questions. This year, they helped us redesign the company website. They are an excellent design company!
We can’t forget our mascot Guy Heart! Guy is a special friend to seniors everywhere and is responsible for helping make people smile and you will see him working all areas of The Love A Senior Company. You can even follow Guy on Facebook @loveaseniorguy
You never really understand the need for things, until YOU actually need them!
While helping her mother maneuver through the aging process, our founder Carol Chiarito discovered organizations and companies who had so many new and great ideas, but many of which were unknown to her at the time she needed them.
It was her mom Doris Jean’s, positive spirit and ability to glide through change, like a knife through butter that Carol saw as how she herself wanted to be as she aged.
As a result she made a commitment to help others become aware of the essential, wonderful, and rapidly evolving services, not to mention other resources for positive life options.
Hence the creation of The Love A Senior Company.
In a world of aging senior citizens many are living longer, some more healthy, active and happier than others.
Founder Carol Chiarito authored the book, “It’s As Simple As Where You Live, A Guide for Beginning the Journey Into Eldercare”, as a guide for others.
